Example godly beliefs developed during Restoring the Foundations ministry

1.      God is my Daddy and He is closer to me than a brother.  I am the apple of His eye. He loves me, is interested in me, cares about me, and He rejoices over me. As I live in His presence and grow in intimate relationship with Him, I am opening myself up to him and learning to obey Him, and He communicates more with me and shares deeper things with me.

2.      As God is healing my heart and setting me free, He is guiding me and giving me wisdom in approaching situations of conflict.

3.      My heavenly Father always understands and listens to me, and I look to Him to meet all my needs and continue to give me peace in my life.  With His help and love, I expect to receive good treatment and respect from all people, I express myself in a way that cannot be misunderstood and my voice is heard.

4.      I am learning to know and recognise what God has put in my heart.  He has freed me from every spirit of timidity, so I have the confidence, given by God, to speak out with boldness and do what God has put in my heart. As the Lord is healing my heart and pouring His love into me, I am growing in confidence and in boldness to love other people, lead them to Jesus, pray for them and see His power at work in their lives.

5.     As my Father God’s son I know that He accepts me, loves me, delights in me, and is pleased with me.  My comfort and security is in Him and therefore I am released from the opinions of men.

6.      I know that my Father God loves me and wants the best for me, and He is my helper and my guide.  As I walk in intimacy with Him and trust Him with my life he is giving me His wisdom and confidence and putting His desires in my heart so that together with Him I make good judgements and decisions that are according to His will.

7.      I choose to submit myself to God and go where He leads me.  I belong to Him. I am unique and special and am growing and serving Him as He empowers and anoints me as part of His body, using the gifts He has given me.

8.      As my relationship with my Father God grows I am seeing myself as God sees me with Jesus as my bridegroom and God as my father. As God’s son and part of the bride of Christ I see people through His eyes and am learning to love them with His love.

9.      God is creative, I am made in His image to be a creative person and He is enabling me to develop the creativity that he is giving me as I grow in my relationship with Him.

10.  The Lord has made to be an attractive, eligible guy and good company.  I trust Him to show me the right woman at the right time, and I will be well pleased with His choice for me, we will love each other deeply and be equally yoked and the depth of our relationship will reflect the intimacy I have with Jesus.

11.  God is opening up my heart as I grow in my relationship with him. He has given me emotions as they are part of the abundant life that Jesus has promised me and wants me to experience as his son. With God’s help I am learning to express my heart and my emotions at a deep level with Him and others as and when it is appropriate.

12.  As I grow in confidence in my walk with the Lord, I will always remember that everything I have comes from God and it is His grace on my life that enables me to continue to grow spiritually.
