Why pursue health?
You do not have to be sick. Do not accept any disease. We have a responsibility to take care of our bodies, and almost all diseases and health disorders are caused by primarily by an unhealthy lifestyle and diet and can be reversed as explained below and in more detail on the following websites: http://www.hacres.com/ and http://www.credence.org/. "When we experience physical breakdown, that physical breakdown is merely the body responding to the wrong fuel -- almost 100% of the time! Almost every physical problem we experience, whether it be over or under weight, high blood pressure, diabetes, pimples, asthma, arthritis, upset stomach, cancer, colds, osteoporosis, heart attacks, acid stomach, strokes, headaches, etc., is merely the body reacting to the wrong fuel. As we stop putting the wrong fuel (foods) into our bodies and start putting the right fuel in, the body will almost always automatically correct the physical problem or problems we were experiencing, and start functioning the way God designed." Iatrogenic (physician-induced) deathsAn average of 195,000 people in the U.S. died due to potentially preventable, in-hospital medical errors in each of the years 2000, 2001 and 2002 (an organisation researches this - American Iatrogenic Association, www.iatrogenic.org)www.healingdaily.com: Doctors are the 3rd leading cause of death in the US, causing 225,000 Deaths Every Year (26 July 2000 - Journal of the American Medical Association). This is 50 times death rate of Vietnam conflict. As many as 20% to 30% of patients receive inappropriate care.
Drugs usually treat symptoms instead of the cause, e.g. pain killers, anti-depressants, chemotherapy (kills tumours, doesn’t address causes of cancer), NSAID (reduce inflammation, not the cause of inflammation), cough medicine, etc. It’s like turning off the fire alarm instead of putting out the fire, mopping up instead of turning off the tap. It’s interesting that the word “pharmacy” is derived from the Greek word “pharmakia” translated “sorcery” or “witchcraft” in the Bible and signified the use of medicine, drugs, spells, poisoning, accompanied by incantations and appeals to occult powers (Vine’s Expository Dictionary of New Testament words). Chemotherapy and radiation treatment are probably the least successful treatment for cancer – about 3% long-term survival rate of cancer patients using orthodox therapies. Faith, prayer and a positive attitude – hope, happiness, love, gratefulness, forgiveness, joy and righteousness increase immune system’s ability to fight disease. Proverbs 4:20-22: My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 17:22 says, A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. II Chronicles 16:12-1: ...Yet in his disease he sought not to the Lord, but to the physicians. And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign. God miraculously heals people today through prayer. God sometimes provides money miraculously when we are in emergency in answer to prayer but generally expects us to work, and sometimes guides us to the right job. In the same way God often heals through a miracle when people are in an emergency (especially in third world countries) in answer to prayer but generally expects us in the Western world, where we have the money, information and available food, to eat healthily and live a healthy lifestyle, and sometimes guides us to the right diet when we pray. Food - read the rest of this article. Note that a healthy digestive system is vital to properly absorb the food we eat. This can be improved by regular intestinal cleansing, low fat high fibre diet, probiotics and grapefruit seed extract (kills viruses, bad bacteria and parasites) 3. Pure air – oxygen is the source of life. Outdoor air is more beneficial to the body than indoor air. 4. Pure water – Garden of Eden – (Genesis 2:10), water builds cells, cleanses body of waste and prevent diseases (e.g. back pain). It is best not to have drinks with meals. It is best to drink purified water - reverse osmosis or distilled - removes chlorine, fluoride and other impurities. See below under “Kitchen Equipment” more details. 5. Exercise – reduces stress, strengthens muscles, improves oxygen intake, helps the body rid itself of impurities, enhances a person’s positive outlook on life, aids in digestion, improves circulation, increases vitality and much more. 6. Sunshine – provides vitamin D, allows body to utilize calcium, lowers blood pressure, reduces resting heart rate, balances hormones, strengthens immune system, lowers blood sugar. 7. Rest – purifies the body, remove toxins accumulated, restore and revitalize cells, enables muscles to relax and restore. 8. Avoid/reduce exposure to inhaled or absorbed toxins e.g. mercury in amalgam fillings, smoking, vaccinations, non natural paints. (First seven abbreviated and expanded from the book “Recipes for Life from God’s Garden” – see below under “Further Information”) How to do it· Information – read books, and listen to health speakers (e.g. Phillip Day and speakers promoted by Hallelujah Acres – see below under “Further Information”) · Experimentation – try healthy food, it is enjoyable, see how it makes you feel, go to a health food/vegetarian/vegan restaurant for ideas and to experience how tasty healthy food can be (for directories of restaurants see below under “Further Information”). · Slowly, at your own pace – make slow changes unless you are totally confident, there is no need to feel guilty if you don’t always reach your goals. It can take several months or even years. The most healthy food to eatTypes of food· Raw · Fresh · Natural · Organic · Living · Alkalising food – Nobel Laureate Otto Warburg proved in 1930s that alkalised bodies are healthy and oxygenated, and acidic bodies are prone to degeneration, oxygen depravation and parasites. Acid-forming foods include meat, grains, eggs, pasteurised dairy products, beans, and some nuts and fruits. Alkali-forming foods are vegetables, most fruit, and some nuts. The body likes to be at a pH of 7.4. When acid, the body uses water and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium and iron to regain the correct pH balance, causing deficiencies. As most Western people are dehydrated, the body mostly uses minerals. The most readily available mineral is calcium, found in the bones, this can result in osteoporosis. Best to eat 80% alkali foods and 20% acid foods. Food GroupsØ Before the fall, man only ate plants yielding seed, and fruit and nuts: GENESIS 1:29 ¶ And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. Ø After the fall, green vegetables were added (herbs of the field): GENESIS 3:18 ….thou shalt eat the herb of the fieldØ Man was only permitted to eat meat after the flood (Genesis 8), 2000 years after creation: GENESIS 9:3 3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be food for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. What these foods contain
Foods to avoid· Dairy Products: a) 60 to 75% of the population is lactase deficient – causes gastrointestinal upsets, b) usually contain lots of saturated fat - athersclerosis – plaque restricting blood flow, c) too high in protein – see above (note that human milk contains much less protein the cow milk), d) acid forming – see above, e) pasteurising destroys enzymes, making it less digestible, destroys some of the vitamins and minerals, f) there are many alternative, better sources of calcium, g) cow milk is designed by God for baby cows, not adult humans!, h) our distant ancestors never consumed dairy products, and millions around the world do not, dairy products are just a cultural tradition. Instead use rice milk, oat milk or nut milks, available from all major supermarkets. · Refined sugar and “white” products such as white flour, white sugar, refined (table) salt, white pasta – the nutrients have been stripped out, and they cause large blood sugar fluctuations and numerous other health problems. Instead use brown rice, whole grain pasta and flour, xylitol (a natural fruit sugar) or agave cactus syrup (a natural sweetener) - these are available in all major supermarkets and health food shops. · Hydrogenated (trans) (reacted under high pressure with hydrogen at high temperature in the presence of a metal catalyst such as nickel): hard, cheap and stable: make platelets sticky, increasing likelihood of blood clots, thus strokes, heart attacks, poor circulation to other organs. These cause increased cholesterol and cancer. · Cooked oils: increase cholesterol, impair cell respiration and other cell functions, inhibit immune functions and can lead to cancer. · Saturated fats – cause cardiovascular disease. This was stated thousands of years ago in the Bible: LEVITICUS 3:17 [It shall be] a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood. LEVITICUS 7:23-5 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Ye shall eat no manner of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat. And the fat of the beast that dieth of itself, and the fat of that which is torn with beasts, may be used in any other use: but ye shall in no wise eat of it. For whosoever eateth the fat of the beast, of which men offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, even the soul that eateth [it] shall be cut off from his people. · Food additives – colourings, aspartame/nutra-sweet (in diet drinks and many other products, causes neurological problems in some people – 92 side effects, many web sites list these), acesulfame, saccharin, flavour enhancer - monosodium glutamate. · Excessive meat - People today eat far more meat than they used to a hundred or more years ago. Meat today is far higher in saturated fat. Meat also contains uric acid (leaches calcium from our bodies and causes arthritis), is acid forming and very high in protein – see above, and may be irradiated and contain antibiotics. Meat was usually for special occasions in the Bible, probably much less than once a week (hence I tend to eat it less than once a week), such as blessings (Genesis 27:4-31), guests (Genesis 24:33), gifts (Genesis 45:23), offerings (Exodus 29:41, 40:29, etc.), ceremonies (Exodus 12:21), and celebration - why would the father of the “prodigal son” “kill the fatted calf” as celebration if he did this every day? (Luke 15:11-32). · Excessive gluten, especially wheat – it is an intestinal irritant. Grains are also acid forming (see above) and mostly cause large blood sugar fluctuations. Neurological complications may be associated with immune reactivity to antigens found in cereal grains. Aflatoxins, which are toxins produced by fungus, are potent carcinogens found in grains. It is best to eat sprouted grains instead - sprouting inactivates the aflatoxins, or at least use other grains such as spelt, kamut, quinoa, rye or millet. Again, our early ancestors would have eaten far less grains than we do today. · High levels of alcohol intake - raises the risk for high blood pressure, stroke, heart disease, certain cancers, accidents, violence, suicides, birth defects, and overall mortality (deaths). Too much alcohol may cause cirrhosis of the liver, inflammation of the pancreas, and damage to the brain and heart. Heavy drinkers also are at risk of malnutrition because alcohol contains calories that may substitute for those in more nutritious foods. The digestion system of alcoholics has reduced ability to absorb certain nutrients, causing other illnesses. TestimoniesCharlie no longer has ME (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). Ideas for healthy meals in a typical day4am-noon: elimination of waste Noon-8pm: appropriation – eating & digestion 8pm-4am: assimilation- absorption and use These are the sorts of foods I eat every day:Breakfast:Fruit – Acid and/or sub-acid fruit, not sweet fruit. E.g. strawberries, kiwi, mango, pineapple, blueberries, cherries, apples (best part is the pips – B-17, anti-cancer), pears, grapes. Avoid bananas, dates and dried fruit early in AM. Fruit mixed with other food causes putrefaction and fermentation – so eat 30 mins before other food, or 2 hours after. Superfood – e.g. BarleyMax (www.hacres.com/products/barleymax.asp) or other Juice – carrot, celery or green leafy vegetables, freshly made using a juicer (see below) – ideally, f you have the time, preferably 2 or 3 times a day, between meals. Colloidal or ionic liquid minerals (available from Healthy Life Resources, Higher Nature or independent health food shop, see below) Lunch:Large salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, celery, corn on the cob, peppers (not green – unripe), carrot. Sprouted beans or alfalfa. Could have bread (Ezekiel Bread - Ezekiel 4:9 – wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet and rye contains 18 amino acids, all 9 essential amino acids, making a complete protein), Sunnyvale sprouted wheat bread from Holland & Barrett good (sprouting begins enzymatic action that starts to break down the gluten, rendering the wheat more easily digestible), not white bread. On bread: Avoid butter and margarine. Salad or grated veg (carrots, beetroot, sweet potato, swede) or some cooked veg, foods with mono-unsaturated fat such as avocado or with omega 3 & 6 EFAs. Sprouted alfalfa. Add unrefined sea salt as required, this is much better than refined (table) salt. Flavour with pasta sauce, French dressing, olive oil or make your own raw dressing.
